Job description

Under the responsibility of the Group Manager R&D US, the incumbent will lead the Pennsauken-lab with 4 R&D technicians. Additionally this position will lead internal product improvement/savings projects and will be responsible for the creation as well as the sample production for one corporate account tied with the Group Manager R&D (currently Hershey). Further tasks and responsibilites will include:

- Managing the daily work in the Pennsauken R&D-lab as well as the team working in the lab; maintain lab related work instructions, coordinate the maintenance of existing equipment as well as installation & commissioning of new equipment
- Managing lab scale production of samples in the Research and Development Laboratory, following requests by corporate customer (currently Hershey) and assist in their creation/development
- Managing internal product improvement projects and items in the Research and Development Laboratory following requests by internal clients
- Providing necessary technical support to operations when problems occur with products
- Participating actively in the various projects of the Research and Development team
- Assuring development of internal clients’ relations (sales, operations, etc.) and maintaining good communication
